Callum Reed first met Gaby two weeks after the anniversary of his wife’s death.
Gabrielle “Gaby” Sullivan knew that Callum would be a great Dom for her. Though she signed a contract stating no marriage or kids, she still had hopes that he would change his mind.
Gaby and Callum have lived in a 24/7 lifestyle for three years before she gives him the ultimatum. When he is unwilling to tell her that he loves her, she leaves him. Ten months later, Callum spots Gaby for the first time and is shocked by how different she is. Finding out she left while keeping a secret from him has him floored, and he is determined to get her back, no matter how he goes about it.
When I read a Sophie Oak’s novel, I know I will end up reading something that contains steamy sex, passionate characters, and a wealth of emotional obstacles. Away from Me is such a story as it tells the tale of two people who have been hurt by past transgressions. The storyline is sensational, leaving me wanting to weep for all these wonderful characters have suffered and celebrate when joy is brought forth into the plot. This novel leaves you feeling sappy, romantic, happy, sad, and emotionally drained as you watch the struggle between these two characters. I adored this novel and will be sure to read it again and again just because I want to.
