A PIGGLY WIGGLY WEDDING
Book 3 of the Piggly Wiggly series
Rating: 4 Cups
After more than fifty years, Hale Dunbar Jr., aka Mr. Choppy, and now Mayor of his beloved town, is about to marry the love of his life, and he could not be more thrilled. He was merely a boy when he first set eyes on Gayle Morris, but circumstances being what they were, it has taken five decades and Second Creek, MS, to bring them back together.
The years spent in Lake Forest with her husband Peter, and their two children were very special for Gaylie Girl, but leaving behind all of that glitz and glamour after Peter’s death was not at all difficult. Coming to Second Creek feels like coming home, and for the first time since her teens Gaylie Girl is happy beyond words.
Before they can pin down a date for their nuptials, Mr. Choppy and Gaylie Girl have one last hurtle to cross, her children. Gaylie Girl would love to have their blessing, but knowing them like she does, especially her daughter, it is going to be an uphill battle. Thank goodness they have the Nitwitts in their corner. Gaylie Girl has never had friends like these wonderfully eclectic ladies, and with their help, she is certain that everything will work itself out. Mr. Choppy also has a few tricks up his sleeve to keep his Gaylie Girl happy, but he too is counting on the delightfully peculiar Second Creek to work its special magic.
Whoever said that life gets boring after the age of sixty clearly never met the likes of Second Creek’s resident Nitwitts. These ladies will most certainly have you hootin’ and hollern’ with every turn of the page. So instead of sitting around and watching life pass you by, take a page from their book and whoop it up. I love their energy as well as their antics, but it is the friendships that really stand out and make this story special.
