A NIGHT TO SURRENDER

Rating: 4 Cups
Susanna Finch is out to save the women of the world, or at least those who need it. She has turned Spindle Cove into a safe haven for women young and old who have had their world turned upside down due to many different events.
Victor Bramwell is not happy being in a town full of spinster women and men with no backbone. Once he gets a good look at the woman responsible for turning the town into what it is now, Victor realizes life may get very interesting.
Susanna is furious with her father for bringing such viral men into her town, especially when they have created havoc even before they set foot in it. Victor is out to show her that men should not be acting the way they do in Spindle Cove and he begins forming a militia from the eclectic group of men who live in the town. In a battle of the sexes, who stands to come out on top and who stands to lose? When all is said and done, will the winner truly be a winner if it means losing the one person they have found love with?
Humorous and different, A Night to Surrender pits strong-willed Susanna against a hardheaded military man, Victor. The battle lines have been drawn by Ms. Dare, and as the reader, you have a front row seat to watch the encounter that is fraught with passion, desire and zany characters. I like the overall plot of this tale. It is fresh, unique and quirky enough to keep me interested. The characters are certainly intriguing as well as diverse and give this book its humor. Whether you are a fan of historical romance, the author’s, or just picked the book up to read you will not be disappointed in this original tale.
