ALL THE GOOD MEN
Contemporary Romance; Romantic Comedy
Rating: 4 Cups
Dahlia is scared of turning forty. She pictures herself as that cat lady that all everyone talks about.
Jackson Carmichael has just moved into the neighborhood. He moved from Boston to the quiet and picturesque town to get away from his many mistakes.
During a game of Truth or Dare, her sisters and friend give her a dating dare that she knows she should not take. Determined to prove to them that she can handle anything they dish out, she goes on one horrendous date after another. Jackson seems to be the perfect fit for her but before anything can get to serious life interrupts her hopeful happily ever after. Can Dahlia get passed all of her hang-ups about her complicated life for a chance at love or is she destined to be alone?
All the Good Men is a roll with the punches and laugh out loud romantic comedy about surviving the dating world while peeking at forty years old. Cindy Jacks uses wit, sarcasm, emotional breakthroughs, and realistic lifestyles to implement a fantastic story. The struggles Dahlia has with her father’s uncontrollable drinking and then about face was quite heartbreaking to see yet makes the reader understand why she has the fears she does. Jackson’s almost perfect personality seems like a great contrast to Dahlia’s chaotic life until you get to see what secret past he had and how much he fought to become who he is today. This novel will grab you from the get-go, keep you entertained throughout the tale, and leave you remembering this story for years to come.
Caution: This tale contains scenes that will make you laugh until you wet yourself, hideous dates, egotistical jerks, and a man so steamily hot it will leave you panting.
