Victoria Morgan, or Tori to her friends, has had a very sad life full of upheaval, disappointments, and tragedy. The few happy moments in her life revolved around her Aunt Millie and the little house on the Jersey shore. When she inherits the house, Tori decides to turn it into a store and needs to hire a contractor to get it up and running for the summer’s tourist season.

Nick Santangelo already has a very busy schedule running the family construction company in Atlantic City. When his secretary asks him to check out a house on the shore as a favor to a departed friend, he hesitantly states he will take a look. Seeing all the work that needs to be done on just the outside of the house, Nick is ready to walk away until he gets a glimpse at the new owner and is floored.

For Tori, seeing the sexy contractor has her fantasies running into overdrive and her body screaming for some action. Nick begins to work around the shop while his interest in the seductive owner continues to skyrocket. His already stressful life seems to go from bad to worse when his nights are filled with fixing every dripping faucet, broken door, and trying to deal with family issues. His grandmother is a not-so secret shoplifter, his teenage daughter is suddenly growing up and wants to take the next step with her boyfriend, and his fantasies for Tori may take a nose dive when he finds out what she really wants.

If you are looking for a little light reading, maybe something that will be forgotten within a few days, A Little Light Magic is NOT the book for you. Ms. Nash writes this intense family drama with some very quirky characters and funny scenes that gets to the heart of the matter in this beautifully written story of a single father and the women in his life. From the very first page, I was empathetic to Tori’s pain and despair; I was enthralled with the daily drama from all the Santangelo family members; and I fell in love with the struggle that Nick fought throughout this novel. I could not put this book down and was up until almost two a.m. wanting to finish this amazing tale. Add a little magic, some major obstacles, and some heavy duty passion, and you will find yourself falling for this wonderful story as well!
