Riley is a journalist who is chasing the story that could make or break him. In fact , if he does not bring this story in to his boss’s satisfaction, he will lose his job. His paper has heard the story that there is an Argent wolf in the pack in the town of Elk Ridge, so he is determined to find out the truth and get the story.

Jason is young, sweet, gay and a virgin. He is also shy and that is one of the reasons he is still a virgin. He cooks at the local diner and for his pack since none of them seem to be able to cook, and if he wants to keep anyone from being poisoned. He loves his life and his job, but he is lonely. One look at Riley and he thinks someone that hot could never want someone like him. Imagine his surprise when he finds out he is wrong about that.

Riley figures Jason will be a good way to get laid while he is in the small town of Elk Ridge. After all he is cute, and sweet and Riley needs an in with the town if he is going to get his story. So instead of being honest, Riley begins spreading around a cover story about being in Elk Ridge for research for a travel book he is writing. While he has no problem with lying to get his story, it comes back to haunt him when he finds out Jason is a part of the local shifter pack. Throw that in with the fact that he is falling in love with the man, and he finds himself in a very sticky situation. Does he write what he knows, keep his job, and drive off leaving Jason behind? Or is there an alternative solution to his problem?

I very much enjoyed reading A Liar’s Moon. Ms. Fielding does a great job with making both Riley and Jason seem very real. Each has his issues and both have less than healthy pasts, and the author shares that information in the story in a very realistic way such that you can really feel the character’s emotions. I also especially enjoyed the pack dynamics and how the Alpha really does take care of everyone. The love scenes are fantastic and scorching and the conclusion to the story is very satisfying. I have no problem recommending A Liar’s Moon or this author, pick up a copy today, you will not be sorry!
