Beth Ann is finally in control of her life. She grew up in a small town as the fat daughter of a domineering man. Her father was verbally and emotionally abusive to both her mother and herself, and she never wants to be in that place again. Now she is thin, has a good job, and a new life.

Riley is as commitment phobic as Beth Ann. He loves women, but experiences with both his mother and ex-fiancée’s loose morals soured him on marriage. He loves the smart mouthed sexy Beth-Ann and her no commitment attitude at first, but finds that he wants his pixie on more than just a temporary basis.

A young woman with control issues and a leaky roof finds a man who can fill the hole in her ceiling and her heart. She thinks that she does not need a man, until Riley shows up at her door to fix the hole in her roof. They are from the same small town and the nasty comments he made to her back then made her re-evaluate her life. She fights the feelings with everything she has, until an encounter with a madman brings everything into perspective.

This is an excellent story. The characters are lively and the dialogue very witty and loaded with humor. Both Beth Ann and Riley have understandable commitment issues, but fall in love anyway. Their love story is very well written and full of extremely hot love scenes. The secondary characters are equally vivid, making the reader feel part of the story. I especially like the cooking scene with the two neighbors. It was very funny. I could not put this one down once I started, and will definitely look for more by Ms Fleming.
