Elisa Robledo job at the School of Engineering feels more comfortable than being at home. As a physicist, the law of physics is all that she knows. She gladly teams up to work on a secret project on an island in the Indian Ocean but never imagined the evil lurking around the corner.

Professor Victor Lopera is a real friend who believes Elisa is a woman of mystery and would love to solve the secret things that surround her. He loves riddles, doing word puzzles, and word games.

Things shift in Elisa's life when, years after she worked on a secret project, her former colleagues begin dying. The experiment probed into Time and produced a vicious outcome. With Victor's help, Elisa begins to put pieces together, questioning if he believes in such evil. After a couple close calls, Elisa notices a man watching her from a distance. When she meets Harrison, and his partner Carter, she learns they are with a security detail keeping tabs on her. Elisa thought she could never experience so much fear but with each passing day things only turn worse. When Harrison and Carter refuse to offer any information, she speculates they could possibly be in the dark just like her.

Zig Zag is a compelling novel chock full of mind-blowing suspense. The well-developed characters keep the story moving at a rapid speed not to lose the readers attention. I thought all the research, and material introduced into this story, with theories and science, were well noted. It gives the reader room for thought and many different possibilities. I like the way Jose’ Carlos Somoza works up the tension and suspense making a read that leaves the reader in awe. With his ingenious and clever plot, there were times I felt the fear just as Eliza. He is a great storyteller who hooked this reader immediately. On another note, I liked the way the chapters were broken up.
