Parker Rigby is an emergency doctor who is going through a depression due to a family tragedy. Upon the death of his nephew in his own ER, Parker has been estranged from his family and is questioning his own life and worth.

Jindra Salman is a pet detective who is also a shape shifter, a raptor, and of the Raptvyn race. He is called back to his flock for a meeting with his father and to confirm his decision over leadership of the flock.

While out hiking, Parker is finally at peace with himself for a few moments, though thoughts of suicide do run through his head. Above him he sees a bird of prey and thinks how beautiful it looks, and the next moment a shot rings out and the bird falls. Running to the aid of the bird, he stumbles across a naked man with a gunshot wound in his shoulder. This is how Jindra first meets Parker; as doctor and patient. This swiftly changes to much more, including lovers. There is more at stake though, with keeping his raptor side secret from humanity and with his love taken from him, he will do anything to save Parker and their love.

This is a flight of fantasy and endearing love rolled into one. The love shown between two people, much less different races, is always at risk, but this goes to the extreme. It gives us such a heartfelt and warming relationship between Parker and Jindra that defy all odds. This is a true love match that survives most anything; including family, kidnapping, suspicion, even the law. What would you do to save the love of your life? Would you fight, kill for, or even die for them because the alternative is unthinkable? Yes is the only answer.
