Lexi Corbitt owns and operates a trendy clothing store, but she is more than she appears to be. After a horrific car crash happens in front of her, she is forced to use her special gift to help save a bus load of kids. Now her world is turned upside down once more as she struggles to out run her past.

Dustin Martinez works for a secret government agency, the Special Powers Division. After seeing Lexi save a bus load of kids, he knows it is his job to get to the bottom of who she is, and to protect her from a world that is not quite ready for special people like her.

With a man from her past out to make sure she pays for escaping him, Lexi has no choice but to trust Dustin. But trust comes hard for her these days and the last thing she really wants to do is depend on another person ever again. But when the bullets start flying and Lexi realizes she might just need Dustin’s help, she finds herself getting more then she bargained for. In all the chaos and mayhem Lexi finds she might just have discovered the love of her life. But can Dustin keep her alive long enough to explore the passion between them, or will she end up dead before either of them can fully understand the emotions swirling between them?

Windhandler is an action packed story full of danger, suspense, and love. The characters Dustin and Lexi are well written and easily believed. The passion between the two characters was very steamy and I really enjoyed their playful interactions. The story was nice, but a bit choppy in places. I found it seemed to kind of skip ahead a bit too quickly for my tastes. Over all I really like this story, and would not mind reading it again.
