Eve Crenshaw feels stuck in her life. Her boyfriend has her asking permission for the silliest things. She decides to go visit her friend and old college roommate, Natasha who lives on an island. Eve hopes to find something to do but instead, finds herself rather secluded.
Natasha Kent loves to paint and works diligently at it. She thinks it will never do better than selling at the local shops on Broome Isle. She is focused, and often does not even have time for relationships.
Kim Gray makes remedies as well as jams. She loves baking but is willing to give it all up for a relationship. She misses her ex-husband Marco, but not knowing how to resolve the issues between them, she just lets them go, even though she still has feelings for him.
All three women get to know one another and begin hanging out together once a week. A storm comes through and they hang out at Kim’s house, raiding the cellar for any kind of alcoholic drink. Finding an unusual bottle, they make wishes before opening it. As their wishes come true, things get better for them but the rest of life on the island seems to get worse. The Wednesday Night Witches must figure out what is going on before everything goes to hell.
These women are relatable and the dreams they chase very real. They had to discover that what is inside matters most. Ms. Nichols has the history to write what she does very well! I was impressed with the ups and downs throughout the whole story and was laughing and cheering for all three women. Their dreams were easier to attain than they imagined. A beautifully written chick lit novel that definitely makes me want to read more by this author.
