Magnus MacKinnon came home to Coldstone Castle from a bloody battle with none of
the wealth he had worked three long years to amass.  If that was not bad enough, the old
laird had a bride waiting for him, thanks to a proxy wedding.  Magnus was renowned for
his charm and wit.  Unfortunately everything, including a privy seat collapsing with the old
laird on it and the dog waking up Magnus with noxious emissions, was conspiring
against all that charm.

Amicia MacLean, with her blue-black hair, was breathtakingly lovely.  She had Magnus
engraved on her heart since childhood, so the wedding was a dream come true.
Unfortunately, the other dreams were not happening just as she wished.  Magnus did not
like finding himself married.  Even worse, the ancient family curses and ghost galley
were upsetting everyone.  Are Devorgilla’s prayers of protection enough?

Sue-Ellen Welfonder has gone back to medieval times with tongue-in-cheek.  Her
characters are one of a kind and they obviously knew where they were going.  The plot
was lively and a reader's guess at the ending might be slightly off.  I enjoyed this author’s
sense of humor.  You have to pay attention or you might miss something.  I strongly
recommend Wedding for a Knight.  You cannot go wrong putting this one in your
shopping basket.  I know you will enjoy it to the last chuckle.
