Business student, Regina Mayse, manages the Legends In Print book store. She has been told the store will be taking on a new employee who will be living there as a border, just like she is. This is not a problem until she discovers the new employee is an ex-con.
The world Aronld Cuttshaver knows is gone. What he had as a free man is no more. He takes a job at the book store because it offers him a place to live as well. Life is hard enough to adjust to with out his cynical boss.
Regina Mays and Arnold Cuttshaver are like oil and water. She is a child of the modern world. Arnold's world has past him by long ago. These two people are naturally distrusting of each other and have some pretty strong preconceived notions about each other. Can they work around them to protect the store during a natural disaster?
This book had so much promise but it finished badly. Books, at least in my experience, have a rhythm that they follow. Keeping that pace is what is going to make the book a joy. The problem is this book is that it changes pace at the very end. I did not buy the twist ending. The book would have been equally good or better with out the twist
