Trisha Reilly, nicknamed Rosie, is a private investigator who returns home to bury her aunt. She is surprised to see Braden after years of being hurt by his departure, and even more stunned that memories of him are still precious.
Braden Lowder had once been a famous model with many a beautiful lady on his arm. Things changed when he was accused of killing a doctor, then sentenced to spend time in prison.
Trisha hates returning home under sad circumstances, but is happy to see Jennifer Lowder. Jennifer hopes Trisha can find a way to clear her brother, Braden, on the murder charge. Braden has already served his time, but would like nothing more than to find a way to prove to his ailing father he never committed the crime. Deep in her heart, Trisha’s feelings for Braden were far more than just friendship. Jennifer secretly informs Trisha of a letter declaring Braden innocent of the murder. She wants Trisha to do an investigation into the stacked evidence that mounted against her brother all those years ago. Braden has never forgotten his little Rosie. As the letter draws them into a whirlwind of obstacles, they wonder if they can start a solid relationship, or is someone out to destroy them both?
I enjoyed the imagery that Taylor Nash instills in this tale as she beautifully paints Trisha and Braden trying to unravel the truth. I love the way they are thrown into a twist and turn of events that stretch their love for each other. The emotions and expressions shadowing these characters is quite impressive. I never knew an encounter with a shark could be so electric. Unchartered Depths is a magnificent read, working like a magnet to draw the reader into some fast non-stop action that never disappoints.
