Saffron is a woman unhappily married. Forced into a marriage when her parents found out she was pregnant, she is stuck in the commitment even though she lost the baby. She is tired of being married to a man who acts as if she does not exist.
Tyrone Jones is a “playa”. He likes looking fine and he likes the ladies looking. Breaking off one relationship because of lies, he begins to spend time with Saffron. He finds himself getting serious about her and wanting to settle down.
Saffron loves the attention Tyrone gives her and, in turn, Tyrone loves taking care of her. While he is trying to launch his own fashion magazine with help from Saffron, his family is in need of his support. A train accident has the family scrambling in an effort to find Keith, one of Tyrone’s brothers. Life is full of twists and turns with this couple seeing their fair share of them.
A sultry, emotional package, this book keeps you guessing. I’m not fond of the extramarital affair which brings Saffron and Tyrone together. That said, I believe it was Tyrone cheating on Saffron which made me want to put this book down and walk away. Combined with Saffron deciding to continue the relationship, this really ruined the story. Ms. Jaqson writes a terrific tale of love, romance and family, but those two issues turned me off completely.
