Brayden Sloane was said to be responsible for murder and kidnapping, but he would not commit murder, nor abducted his own niece. The newspaper had no knowledge of his whereabouts and if he were not guilty, why had he not come forward to prove his innocence? One main problem remained; he had no recollection of his memory.
Claire Fanshaw was not certain if Brayden was liable for the explosion. She was not aware of everything that went on in Lab 7 and when she had asked Brayden, who was security officer at the time, for the password, he had denied her access and now he has returned.
Brayden, a former security expert has no recollections of what actually happened to him after a terrible accident. The only thing that comes to his mind is in tiny fragments and pieces that do not really make a full puzzle. He needs to get back into the lab and do his own investigation but with the Feds taking over, it was not going to be as easy as he thought. Claire needs help in locating her best friend, Mac Ellroy, who has disappeared. She has nowhere to turn until she runs into Bray in the lab. She is not certain whether she can trust him or not but he needs help regaining his memory and she needs help locating Mac Ellroy. The work on Project Cypress had garnished a huge explosion that had shaken far-reaching chaos in the company and both needed answers surrounding Lab 7 to unlock their own reasons for the search. When they stumble upon mystery test tubes linked to bio-chemical weapons that could possibly altar brain functions, they must race against the clock not only to save their lives but others in the process.
Triggered Response has all the thrills and action-packed excitement as a roller coaster ride. Bray and Claire are refreshing characters that are well rounded and committed not only to finding out the truth, behind the explosion, but also to each other. Ms. Rosemoor pens a well-composed read that keeps the reader engaged with nail-biting suspense. She keeps drama lacing through the pages until the conclusion. She has a flare for writing that always makes the story believable and the characters genuine. I love the tension she incorporates in this story.
