Gloria Amaya loves her sons, but she wants to have romance in her life as well. She thinks that being over 40 makes her too old. Also, she is not sure how to introduce a new man in her life. The boys may not handle it well and that is one more thing that keeps her from searching for someone. Being over 40 is not an age where Gloria wants to start over, but she is not sure she can live without someone.

Matt Cerda wants nothing to distract him from work or his daughters. He is divorced and thinks he has finished with the romance department as well. Yet he would not mind having someone to talk to while the girls are at their mom’s.

Gloria's gardener calls in sick so he is sending someone else to look at her rose bushes. Curious, Gloria peeks outside and is so knocked over by the gorgeous man she cannot keep her eyes off him. Matt not only tends to her roses but begins tending to her heart as well. Conflict arises when their children cannot seem to get along. Matt and Gloria need to decide what is going to rule them, their hearts or their lives?

Love can happen at any age and this story proves it! It was wonderful to read how Matt and Gloria want to rebuild their lives together. It is going to be a long road and they need to work with each other. Ms. Gonzalez created characters that I wanted to read about. This is a beautiful story that is enjoyable for the wonderful things that happen. It is humorous as well for the simple fact of getting the kids to get along. I will keep my eye on this author for future great reads.
