THE SIXTH CURSED HALLOWEEN
Halloween Themed Paranormal
Rating: 3 Cups
Deidre has been trapped for thousands of years by a lover’s curse. Angry and determined, someday she will have her revenge. The prison, a bonsai tree she is trapped in, leaves her no hope of ever gathering the strength of magic to break free. During all her life cycles living within trees, she has never learned to understand men and Brad is no different.
Brad has spent his adult life dating women he knows will never amount to anything. His path to sabotaging his own love life abruptly ends on Halloween night when he first hears the voice. Convinced that only he can save Deidre from his bonsai tree, he begins a six-year quest to find the answers.
Deidre has resided in Brad’s bonsai tree since he was fifteen. He meticulously cares for the tree and repots it faithfully every other Halloween. This Halloween is different because this year he begins to hear what the plant is saying.
Mechelle Armstrong wrote a book with a strong story line. I was stumped as to why it took so many years for communication to begin, but it was not enough to discourage me from reading the story. I enjoyed the whimsical aspect of the story. It is a refreshing view of the havoc wreaked through revenge and hate. Brad is a wonderfully written character, because no matter how many dead-end relationships he enters, he still wants to save the unknown woman in his tree.
Warning: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable.
