THE MARIAN KIND

Marian works in her father’s mortuary as a make-up artist for the dead. She has decided it is about time for her boyfriend Rob to pop the question and that she is going to lay down her final ultimatum.
Rob is Marian’s boyfriend, he has not been entirely honest with her about what he has been up to lately. He had decided he was going to break off their date, but when it becomes clear that Marian is not going to be put off, he goes to see her carrying a secret.
When Marian hints that it is about time they move to the next level in their relationship, Rob begins getting very nervous. It is not that he does not love Marian, he does, but he has something in the back of his truck that he is dreading telling her about. Will Marian break up with him as she is threatening? What does Rob have secreted away in the back of his truck? Will he let Marian in on all his secrets, or will these two go their separate ways?
The Marian Kind is one hilarious read! From the very first page I was sure this was a book I could not put down. Marian as the woman who loves her man but has had just about enough of his secrets was very funny, especially once he spilled the beans. Rob as the rich guy who wants to do right by the poor and thinks he has figured out a way is endearing. Never mind the constant “funeral humor” that had me wheezing for breath I was laughing so hard. Needless to say, I was highly entertained with these character’s antics. If you enjoy a lot of humor in your romance then you won’t want to miss this one!
