Henry Parker is a dedicated journalist who has stumbled on a killer of a story; literally. People are being targeted and killed in New York City and Henry is working every angle to get the best story. But soon he becomes a target for the killer. He needs to find out who this killer is and what the motive is behind the murders.
The mystery killers' unusual motive for the recent killing spree dates back to the 1800s and what might have been a huge cover-up in history. They just need a captive audience to listen to what they are trying to tell the world and the plan is to use Henry Parker as the voice that needs to be heard.
As Henry digs more into the past, he finds out many things that prove to be very dangerous to him as well as to others. He is trying to break this case wide open and as the secrets come out the danger increases. What he finds can change history as we know it. He also may lose the people he loves the most unless he gets to the truth before the killer does.
The Guilty is a very interesting twist on an old legend. What an awesome choice of storyline! I was totally enthralled by this book. Although I missed The Mark, the first book that introduces Henry Parker’s character, this book stands on its own. It offers enough background on the first to help through the story. I plan to enjoy The Mark as well as the upcoming Henry Parker book. You do not want to miss out on this one.
