THE GP’S MEANT-TO-BE-BRIDE
Harlequin Enterprises Limited
Rating: 4 Cups
A husband and family are not meant to be for Gemma Craven, not that she would not love to have them, but who would want her? An accident left her scarred in more ways than one, and she will never allow herself to be hurt emotionally that way again.
Being jilted the day of his wedding should have left Ross Mackenzie in a state of emotional turmoil, but in actuality he feels relieved. His emotions are suddenly geared towards a woman he never looked at twice, but now cannot keep his eyes off.
Gemma has always had a strong attraction for Ross, but he was engaged to her best friend, and therefore off limits. After a devastating heartbreak in college, she vowed never to allow herself any intimacies with a man. Ross is overwhelmed by his sudden and unprovoked feelings for Gemma, and they are not going away. The more he works with her, the more he wants her, and for once in his life, he is allowing his heart to overrule his mind.
It is astounding how one incident can change your perception of everything, and this story is a prime example. Gemma has her scars, and Ross struggles with the rejection of his father, but their pain only makes them more appealing and stronger characters. A little more depth into the relationship between Ross and Gemma would be the icing on the cake for this story. They are fun-loving and totaling engaging as a couple, and their storyline is wonderfully entertaining for the reader.
