Medical Romance
Rating: 4 Cups

Charlotte Buchanan has broken away from the expectations of her attorney father and his law firm to become a midwife in Amaroo. Her community midwife program is her pride and joy.

Dr. Xavier Laurent has moved to Amaroo to be closer to his family and start over. His marriage to an overambitious doctor who aborted their child has made him wary of women in the medical professions.

Charlotte is determined to save her program from budget cuts and Xavier is determined to save the finances of the small Amaroo hospital. Both are wary of relationships, but can not help but be attracted to each other.

This medical romance set in Australia is very hard to put down. The two main characters are very attractive and strong willed. Both have been hurt before and are determined not to fall for each other, but inevitably they do. Xavier mistakes Charlie’s dedication as ambition and decides that she is like his ex, but deep down knows he is wrong. Charlie falls for Xavier only to find him behaving just like her father and ex fiancé. With the very involving and hot love story, the drama of the lives of the people of Amaroo, especially the teen mother Jade, really make this a gripping tale.
