Joyce Meyer tells how women can become more confident in their daily living by knowing that God loves them. She wants women to know that we are not servants to men, but helpers. She stresses that a person must accentuate the positive and go with their strengths.
The author also feels that many women teach and preach in church, herself included. Through scriptures, she illustrates that this should be done. Many women are the main support of churches as Sunday school teachers. However, some still do not like for them to preach or have authority over others.
To have no fear, or be bold and confident, is a step that a woman confident in God’s love must take. Ms. Meyer shows that if you are confident in His love, you will be confident in other areas of your life. While this seems simple, it really is not. Ms. Meyer makes a wonderful point of showing how a strong spiritual life will affect so many other areas of your life and make you more confident, and yes, bold. She also tells about her past and of how long she struggled with it before figuring out that God did love her, so she needed to love herself.
I got a lot from this book because Ms. Meyer speaks from a woman’s point of view, while standing firmly in a man’s world of Christian ministry. She illustrates that God is the answer to a lot of your problems without preaching, but by teaching. While she is not a feminist, I think she is a humanist in the best ways possible. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has had difficulty in their lives that they must overcome.
