Charles (Chaz) Bainbridge Darwin-Smythe, arrived in Ashfork, Arizona from England. Chaz has just inherited a ranch from his Uncle Dabney. Chaz needed time away from England and thought this is a good time and maybe he would like it here. Chaz's relationship with Aubrey had ended and now he is free to move on.

Sombra is a foreman on the D Bar ranch. When old Dabney died and left it to his nephew, Sombra is not sure how things would go. Sombra knew it would take Chaz himself to get the respect from all the ranch hands and his own respect. It is a wait and see situation. Sombra left England himself, and he refused to think about that life or the mess he made of it.

Once at the ranch, Chaz realized that it ran somewhat orderly with Sombra's direction. Chaz liked the big sexy foreman, but was unsure how the man felt. Sombra knew that Chaz was interested and needed direction in both the ranch and a relationship. But Sombra wondered if Chaz was ready for his kind of direction?

This is a sexy and entertaining tale. Chaz and Sombra both have a past; both men are deep and have very strong thoughts on what they want. These characters showed great sexual tension between them, and a true friendship. This reader feels they are right for each other and finding a partner after everything they have been through is the icing on the cake. This is a very erotic and spectacular read.
