THE BOSS’S DEMAND

Sara really needs her job with Elan Al Mansur. She has sunk everything she has into her move and desperately needs the money she will be making to pay down her student loans and the medical bills from her mother’s final illness.
Elan is fed up with the young executive assistants he has employed in recent months. They are useless at their jobs and throw themselves at him. He has no use for love and does not want an assistant without gray hair.
Sara is determined to prove herself to her new boss. She has promised that she will be totally professional and efficient, and if she does not comply, she will not protest her dismissal. She never thought that Elan would be attracted to her and that her one fall from grace would result in an unplanned pregnancy. Sara and Elan have a lot of sexual chemistry from the beginning and are determined not to give in to it. Both are products of unhappy childhoods, the result of parents who were very unhappily married, so they are wary of love. Sara is determined not to marry without it, so when she falls pregnant, her whole life could fall apart. Elan is a very honorable man who does not realize he loves Sara until it is almost too late.
The author does a good job of creating sensual tension between the Sara and Elan. She builds their relationship at the office gradually, though the two are aware of each other from the beginning. Sara is anything but a helpless wishy-washy character. She is easily as tough as Elan, and he has the sense to appreciate that. This is a very entertaining romance that I really enjoyed.
