Warrick was a demon damned for all time for sins he had committed in life, and he had no plans of ever trying to be redeemed. But Riana was awakening something in him he thought was long dead.

When Warrick discovered that his Queen’s plans involved him marrying Riana he could not refuse. How could he leave this poor innocent human in the hands of such an evil creature as his Queen? With the strength of Riana, Warrick made his way back to his castle with his new bride. But the both of them wondered how long the tiny peace they found in each other will last. People were plotting all around them, and neither of them knew how long until these plots would unfold and drag them in.

For only being fifty seven pages The Awakening really packs a punch. You totally get lost in the story, and you forget it is a short story. Riana and Warrick’s passion heat up the pages and have you dying to know what is going to happen to them next. What I think I liked best about this story is how it has left you hanging on how this story ends. It is totally set up to have a sequel, and I can not wait to see what happens next.
