Jack Malloy has a tortured past, and he now lives with nightmares that seem to never
end. When his sister asks him to help out on the farm she and her husband owned, he
thought it might just be what he needs to help sooth his soul. When they got there, a
surprise awaited them.  His sister's husband brought her best friend, Rebecca, in from
Nebraska.  She is the woman who stars in Jack's nightmares not as a torturer but as
something special.  Something he did not think he deserves. He was divided by wanting
to be around her and wanting to run.

Rebecca Conner and her sister were both abducted and sold into white slavery. She
was raped and tortured. Once she was free, she was sure no good man would ever
have her. But she had a good life with her sister, and she had made good friends with
Nicky Calhoun and her husband. Now she is at their ranch to help with Nicky’s coming
child; and she also has to face the only man who could awaken her passionate feelings,
Jack Malloy. After her abduction, she never thought to have those type of feelings again,
but there was something about him that called to her and made her want to be loved.

This was a wonderful heartfelt story of two very tortured souls looking for solace. You can
almost feel their pain and share their sorrow. The story set at a steady pace and keeps
you on your toes as you wondered what more could possibly happen to these two as
they journeyed into the future while learning to deal with their past as well as each other.
When this a story ended, I sat back and sighed and felt good. This story is why I have
always loved romance and happy endings.
