Bestselling romance novelist Katarina Fisher has had no luck when it comes to men. She knows first hand what it feels like to be burned emotionally by one. Convinced she is a terrible judge of men, she has decided they just are not worth the trouble. That is until she meets her neighbor, Alexander Chase.
Computer games designer and owner of SD Games Inc., Alex Chase has been watching Rina and trying to figure out a way to get to know her better since she moved in. Also burned in love by women who turned out to be after his money rather than him, he is still willing to take a chance.
Alex finally gets the opportunity he has been waiting for when he helps Rina with some groceries one evening and she invites him in. He discovers she is a beta tester for his new game The Naughty Dagger. Unable to believe his luck, he invites Rina to play the game with him online. They each use the ploy of playing the online game to get to know one another better, and eventually they begin to form a relationship. However, it is not an immediate happily ever after, and Alex must overcome an ex-boyfriend who refuses to disappear, Rina’s fears of being in a crowd, and his own insecurities.
This book is one of the best I have read. The story line is believable, the characters memorable, and the relationship beautiful and well scripted. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The author outdid herself on this one, and I cannot wait for her next book to come out. I highly recommend this book to all who enjoy contemporary erotic romance, this one is a keeper!
