| THE ANGELIC PROPHESY ROBERT L. HECKER ISBN #1-59426-257-8 December 2005 Mundania Publishing www.mundaniapress.com E-Book $6.00 588 Pages Mainstream/Inspirational Rating: Michael Modesto is a typical rock star. He is selfish and spoiled and cares for no one but himself. He is bored with his life and worries that he has lost the passion he once had for it. Meeting a nurse named Mary and finding out that he has a gift for healing, and a mission to deliver an angelic message, may change his life forever. Mary is determined to get help for the infants she cares for who are crack babies and victims of other forms of neglect and abuse before and since their births. She decides to approach Michael Modesto to support her charity even though he has never shown any signs of compassion before. He turns out to be much more than she guessed. A decadent rock star is given the gift of healing and is told that he has an obligation as a prophet to deliver a message. He is not told that he will have to face the Anti-Christ. Armed with his new faith and the love he has for Mary, he prepares to fulfil his destiny. This is an extremely well written story. The characters are well drawn and grow throughout the story. Having a figure such as a rock star become a prophet is a nice twist. The other characters in the story added much depth, and the author did not allow Mary to become too ‘good’, making her more believable. This is a story well worth reading.
