TELL ME A LIE
Rating: 5 Cups
Ava St. James is on the tail end of a bad relationship and looking for a good time. She first sees the man who could give her a good time in her coffee shop and then at the local honky tonk.
Ford Bronson has just been told his divorce is final. Although he is relieved, the only thing he can think of is the sexy lady sitting at another table.
The day after a one night stand can be difficult, but it is worse when you realize you wanted so much more. Ford is mystified by the lady’s disappearing act without leaving a name or number. Ava is unable to forget the sexy Ford and misses him more than she misses her ex. Ford is willing to do anything to find his mystery lady, even open up his own private investigation.
Tell Me a Lie has a unique twist and hot erotic romance. I loved how both characters were afraid of getting hurt and were only looking for a one night stand. What they both ended up finding was their future. Ford is such a forceful character, and the author successfully portrayed him in a weak moment to demonstrate how even strong men feel emotional pain. Tell Me A Lie is a nice Sunday afternoon read, especially for someone looking for reassurance that romance still exists even in unexpected places.
