Woman Cast in Amber (The Amber Chronicles, Book 1) by Janet Lane Walters
Hugh Riva, King of Rivand knows of the Curse of The Witch of the Woods. He planned on not suffering the same fate as his predecessors. Would he win?
Mrs. Janet Lane Walters has written a tale of misguided love and hopefully redemption. I really enjoyed the example of love exhibited by Emme.
Turquoise Twilight (North of Nonesuch Series, Book 3) by Jane Toombs
Talissa Hunter goes on a tour of Romania in search of vampires and finds a lot more than she bargained for.
Ms. Jane Toombs has written an exciting story of discovery and enlightenment. The surprises were many and varied making it a breeze to read.
Blood of Amethyst (Woodcutters Grim Series-Classic Tales of Horror Retold, Book 2) by Karen Wiesner
Amethyst Phillips takes a dare to place a tape recorder in the scariest place she knows. What she discovers will chill her to the bone.
Ms. Karen Wiesner writes a chilling yarn of patient, haunting evil, waiting to pounce. I could not anticipate the exciting ending.
Petals of a Topaz Jewel by Carrie S. Masek
Beth Collins is on the eve of sending her daughter Amanda off to college and on her way to nabbing a serial killer. How is that for beginnings?
Ms. Carrie s. Masek has written an account of grief overcome and chances taken. I enjoyed the surprise twist.
Saurian Bloodstone (The Saurian Series, Book 3) by Cassie Walder
Mina Dragosdautter, Kindred of Heita returns to her homeworld with her bondsmale Lucian and finds their ways foreign. Will she fit in?
Ms. Cassie Walder has created a beautiful tale of differences accepted and love discovered. I really enjoyed the interplay between Mina and Lucian.
The Tanzanite Return by C.J. Winters
Tanya and Tabitha Beaufort were created to fulfill prophesy given to them by their father. Their mother’s tanzanite carries a curse thought lost to thieves and thus diffused until Tabby starts dreaming of a disaster of untoward destruction. Should she tell or keep quiet?
Ms. C.J. Winters has written a cautionary tale of crying wolf. I eagerly read to the unpredictable conclusion. Did Tabby’s dream come true?
Moonstone Fire (Men of Moonstone Series, Book 1) by Christine DeSmet
John “Boze” Hall travels to Moonstone Wisconsin where his friend Peter LeBarron resides with his wife and discovers his past is also his future.
Ms. Christine DeSmet has written a tale of redemption and the rebirth of hope as seen through a little boy’s eyes. I really liked the curmudgeon and the debutante angle of this story.
Jewels of the Quill have written a diverse selection of stories guaranteed to introduce each authors work to a new audience regardless of their preference. The characters were full of angst, quirks and a whole lot of humanity. I would suggest this anthology to any reader of fiction.
