BDSM Multicultural Romantic Suspense
Rating: 4 Cups
Detective Eric Neal likes everything to be perfectly detailed in his life. After being called upon to check on break-ins at the La Tienda Dulce, he meets Angelica, who sends submissive thoughts through his mind.
Angelica Vega, Angel, is the owner of La Tienda Dulce. Not always the perfect little angel, she can often be zany. When her bakery is broken into more than once, Eric is assigned her case, and things turn hot.
Eric has ways of exciting a woman. Of course it has been a month since he stepped into Tygers to find a willing submissive. Things changed after he killed a man. It was in self-defense, and all charges cleared, but the dreams still haunt. Angel grew up in a home where her father believed women married, had children, and became submissive to their husbands. Instead, Angel opened a shop, opting for her freedom. When Eric explores the break-ins, she wonders how it would feel to be submissive to him. Eric believes Angel is being targeted with the burglaries. As he begins to teach her the art of being submissive, the investigation leads him to wonder if she is completely truthful with him.
Sweet Perfection is a delicious page-turner. Not only is the reader pulled into the elements of romance, suspense and sizzling heat, Eric and Angel make the read believable with their thoughts and actions. Melinda Barron has written a story that makes the reader go awe. She creates Eric as a yummy guy who turns to a beautiful woman to help erase the demons in his life. The way he and Angel work to help each other is crafted so well that the reader is lost in their moments in this fascinating read.
