STALKER'S REVENGE, Book Two of the Earth Cleansing Series picks up where the
first book, THE CHOSEN ONE, left off.  A deadly virus has now spread throughout the
world leading to catastrophic numbers of deaths and causing those who do not die to
change. After this changing, the people seek out others who have become like
themselves, and try to eliminate any of those who have not changed. Civilization has
eroded to become a 'survival at any cost' way of life. A group of dissimilar and unlikely
heroes has been drawn together for special purpose. To protect the one known as 'The
Chosen One', the person the mysterious guardians have selected to save the planet.

The Players-Ben- his own guardian protects him in a way that makes him virtually
indestructible.

Bill and Tony- their love endures even as Tony realizes her power as The Chosen One.

Joe and Tammy- ex-military man who will give himself if necessary to protect the chosen
one and the young girl he loves like his own.

Stalker -the giant wolf who sees things clearer than most humans do.

Rita and Ross- man and machine, who will attempt the untried to save the world.

Todd- leader of the others, evil personified answering to no one but his mysterious
master.

Two months have gone by in which the chosen one and her followers and protectors
have laid in wait until time to begin the journey again. During this time, their strongest
enemies have been growing in power and purpose and the remainder of their journey is
destined to be the most hazardous of all.  Note: This story has many graphic and
possible disturbing scenes of violence throughout.

After reading THE CHOSEN ONE, I quickly became a fan of this talented writer and his
work. Therefore, it is no surprise that when the chance to review this second book of the
series was brought to me, I quickly snatched it up. I must tell you it was another of those
'I am so glad I picked this book to read' choices! After reading and being so impressed
by the first book it would have been easy for this tale to be a letdown, just not quite living
up to what I was expecting it to be. That in no way was the case...In fact perhaps the
opposite. I expected this book to carry on the story and to keep my interest along the
way. However, I did not expect to once again be swept into the story completely, unable
to stop reading until I knew where it all would end. As in the first book, this one has an
undercurrent of horror, mixed with a blend of action and adventure, paranormal and
suspense. With so many characters, it would be easy to get confused as to who was
who but due to crafty storytelling, the author keeps it all straight and easy to follow. I also
found Mr. Baker's view of what the world would come to in the face of such horrible
disaster to be so well plotted that it is easy to imagine a day where this could come to
pass. Scary but probably pretty dead-on. Once again the only fault found is in my having
to wait for the next story to find out where fate will lead these characters I have grown to
know so well.  A great tale well deserving of 5 cups!
