Nic Gerrard is a self-made man formed by his poor upbringing. While he has his hands in many proverbial pots, the dating service, Sparks, is his baby. Being in the public eye, he is often photographed with both male and female escorts.
Sparks hired Aidan West over a year ago to help create the computer matching system. A private man and self-proclaimed computer geek, he is finding it hard to come to terms with his feelings for his boss.
Wanting to add a special feature to the dating program, Nic turns to his expert computer guy, Aidan, for help. The problem is they continuously rile each other; then, again, maybe that is a good thing. Each of these two men is just what the other needs. Aidan is able to rein Nic in from the public spotlight. Nic is able to draw Aidan out from behind the computer screen into life. The chase is on when they discover a hacker trying to break into Sparks’ client files.
The mystery of the hacker’s identity kept me on edge, as did the fact that Nic and Aidan kept dancing around their feelings. Both men proved that you should not judge a book by its cover. Aidan’s passion was as unexpected as Nic’s tenderness. I found myself smiling as they fought and holding my breath when they finally kissed. This is a classic tale of the head not wanting what the heart wants, but the heart wins in the end. I applaud Ms. London for this well-written and wonderful story.
