Bryanna often feels she does not belong. She hears voices and sees people that are silent and invisible to others.
Gavyn is a mysterious man. He is a wanted man and knows his pursuers are nearby. He continues to see visions of a lovely woman coming to his rescue.
He sees, smells and feels her. He has waited years for her and now she is coming. He knows she alone can lift the bloody curse that he has carried for sixteen years.
Bryanna was born in Penbrook with four siblings. With flaming hair and green eyes, she looks enchanted but underneath she feels cursed by strange voices. She knows she should not leave the safe confide of Castle Calon but making a rash and foolish decision; she gathers her horse and goes for a ride. She carries a secret she hopes no one will ever learn and that is the love she feels for her sister’s husband. Bryanna leaves the castle unaware of the danger that waits. For sixteen years, Hallyd has lived with the blasted curse, his sin for killing a witch. All he needs is the one woman to lift the curse, to set him free. Once she is in his possession, he will show her the meaning of being a slave to unholy desire. He would also have the dagger, the power and another red-haired sorceress to defile. Gavyn continues to feel her presence and knows she is near. He also feels a dark evil trying to get the lovely woman to come to him. He knows there is a presence nearby that wishes to do her harm, but in his weakened state, he cannot offer her help until she comes to his rescue. Then he will teach her what she needs, to get rid of the demon for good. When Bryanna finds Gavyn, it appears all things begin to fall into place but it is only the beginning of the peril they must face before they can be as one.
If you’re looking for an enchanting story with great visualizations and brilliant characters then Sorceress is the perfect read. I fell in love with the captivating Bryanna and Gavyn. They create a high-action journey from the moment they meet. They are passionate and full of life. The pure evil of Hallyd drips off the pages as he focuses his own plot against Bryanna. The secondary players add dimension making the tale feel more believable as everything ties in for a dramatic ending. Lisa Jackson pens a page-turner that absorbs the reader immediately. She creates a tale that is quite magical.
