David cannot believe that he has been transported back in time. He knows that he must do something to save Brandy and Pennie from a certain death at the hands of her husband. Brandy has never had anyone look after her and Pennie the way David does and does her best to repay him. He never thought that by changing the past he would find the love of his life.

Ms. McKay sends her readers into a long gone era with a rush of excitement. The historical accounts she gives are amazing and shows the research she did for this story. David is the epitome of a good hearted man seeking to protect those that need it the most. With a history lesson intertwined with romance, this story leaves a warm feeling that the reader will not soon forget. Ms. McKay has brought us yet another wonderful piece of her amazing work and the poem that started it all. I have to give Ms. McKay the highest of accolades for a story well written and full of love.
