Paulette Patterson is keeping secrets as she tries to stay one step ahead of the dangerous men on her trail. After her car strikes a man, she never expected to find more danger in his arms.
Kyle Storm needs answers on some convenience store robberies. He cannot believe he has been struck by a car only to land up in the confines of Paulette, who seems to be a bit nervous about something.
Paulette has troubles following her, but she explains to Kyle that with it being foggy and causing her to hit a stranger would make anyone a bit nervous. She thinks he is running from something and he thinks the same of her. As a cop, and a decent human being, he must search for answers to the mysterious Paulette. She never once thought running into Kyle would lead her to a risk that would be hard to resist. But in a cat and mouse game to find a way to get rid of the bad guys, her only answer seems to be circled in Kyle’s arms.
Passion, romance, desire, suspense, and terrific dialogue abound in Snow Fever. Kyle and Paulette are dynamic characters who spark heated chemistry within the pages. I like the way they play their little antics trying to keep their secret from the other. Evelyn Starr creates a read where you root for the couple, forgetting about any mystery that might be in their path, disrupting their life. She includes some twists and turns making the reader wonder will their next move be their last, in discovering the truth, in a most enjoyable read.
