Jenna Bradley is a vampire (sort of) ever since being bitten by the vampire called Sandoval. After he murdered her best friend and turned Jenna, she is on the hunt to destroy him. Once a cop, Jenna was forced to quit the force after her life-altering experience. Now, she plans to team up with Marc Cooper even if he is a handsome, tough as nails jerk.

Marc (Coop) Cooper is half-Latin with tanned skin and raven hair worn in a ponytail. He is one tough alpha male who runs a company called Slayer’s Inc. Their purpose is to destroy evil vampires. From the moment Coop and Jenna meet they clash, however, that does not stop the sexual vibes from flowing between them.

Jenna is a woman on a mission to kill the vampires who marked her and killed her best friend. Joining forces with Slayers Inc. and Marc Cooper in particular, are just a means to an end. Jenna’s secret about her new semi-vampire status is something she is desperate to keep hidden. Being attracted to Coop is a problem Jenna is going to have to learn to deal with. Coop uses Jenna as bait to draw out the murderous vampire, Sandoval. When an all out war ensues, no one is sure who will be left standing.

I love Coop; he is one cocky, bad to the bone male and Jenna is a driven, smart, and resilient female. Yet these two characters manage to come together and blend their personalities without ripping each other apart. I really enjoyed how Ms. Blaise gave Jenna a smart-mouth attitude. I feel it added a lot to the dialogue. There were a few humorous moments in this story. Also, there were some very Red-Hot encounters between Coop and Jenna.
