Iaha’s Story

Iaha is a half-human daughter of Poseidon. As the immortal daughter of a Greek god, she gratefully accepts the gifts that come from being immortal but has also learned to be cautious of mortal men.

Sheddrick (Shedd) Collins is an Englishman searching for the lost city of Yumani. Like Atlantis, Yumani is a legendary underwater city that has been lost for centuries. Shedd is also searching for his true father. He has the feeling that both are connected and that in finding Yumani, he will also find out about his father.

Iaha and Shedd are drawn together from the moment they meet. Iaha also shares a fascination with Yumani and decides to help Shedd in his search. Unbeknownst to them, there is more to the hidden city of Yumani than they suspect and they find themselves drawn into an age-old conflict.

‘Iaha’s Story’ is a well written and enjoyable read. The author does an excellent job of developing the characters and making them feel real. The story flows nicely and is eminently believable within the paradigm of Greek mythology. The erotic scenes fit within the story line, resulting in a smooth and easy read.

Adara

Adara is another half-human daughter of Poseidon. She has just had her heart broken when her human lover betrays her by cheating on her. Adara has a hard time trusting humans, even her mother. The betrayal by her lover is made even worse since she trusted him with the truth about her heritage.

Nalameir (Nal) is a demon from the underworld. He is hiding from his father who is Demon King of the Underworld. Nal has plans for Adara but those plans do not take into account his attraction to her.

Adara and Nal become lovers but they rapidly get entangled in a complicated three-way conflict that threatens to break them apart as old secrets and new betrayals come together. Will their love be enough to keep them together or will this fresh betrayal split them apart?

‘Adara’ is a study in contrasts, as the siren travels to the underworld, a hot land with shades of gray and black. Adara and Nal are the living embodiment of opposites attracting; the silvery blue siren and the red and black demon, the powerful prince and the innocent maiden. One can almost feel the resulting chemistry between them. ‘Adara’ is an intriguing and entertaining story.

Aella

Aella is the youngest of Poseidon’s half human daughters. She is most like Poseidon, with her love of water, underwater creatures, and the ability to enjoy life.

Damon and Pythias show up her life unannounced but at a time when she needs help the most, as the seals under her care begin to die.

Unable to contact her father for help, she is forced to rely on Damon and Pythias but they have secrets that they are keeping from her, secrets that have put her and her charges in danger.

Aella is the weakest story in the anthology. Little time is spent developing the characters and the story rushes headlong into erotica. Given Aella’s obvious innocence this immediate shift into a ménage a trois seems forced and awkward. More time should have been spent developing the characters and laying out the attraction. While the backdrop of dead seals makes for a good storyline, when set against the erotic scenes it makes the characters seem cold and indifferent to the suffering going on around them. The best part was the ending, were all three stories come together and the sisters are reunited.

‘Sirens Song: A Siren Sisters Anthology’ is a very enjoyable anthology and the interconnecting stories, obvious to the reader but the not the characters, made it a compelling read.
