Lorelei Bliss is the daughter of a famous senator who has chosen to mentor a suitable candidate for President. Along the path to the White House, she actually falls for the man, Griff. Unfortunately, she knows she is just a stepping stone to the presidency, but finally gets tired of being stepped on.
Griff Nyle’s life changed the day a red headed woman tried to take his father away from his mother. Orphaned, he lives life for what he can get out of it. Wanting the presidency, he will marry the young woman of his mentor’s choice, even if it is his red haired daughter. As long as Griff can continue to live and love as he wants.
When Griff finally realizes that what he truly needs from life includes Lorelei, evil enters in the form of another woman. Will Griff and Lorelei be able to save what they have, or has it all been too much too often for another second chance?
Sin City is an unusual look at Washington DC and the life behind the politics. While the sex is hot, the characters all have strong personalities that are more of the book’s focus. While they as people are dynamic with dramatic dialogue, Lorelei and Griff are not empathetic, so one does not need to worry about how they will end up. The Washington backdrop is colorful with the full descriptions of state dinners, clubs, and the endless opportunities for sex. As a former DC resident, it was fun to try matching locations. For a definitely different look at the love lives of politicians, try Sin City.
