Jane Kurtz was talented at making others look beautiful. As a makeup artist for a television show, she had a great eye for how to make others appear their best but she didn’t put forth the effort at all with herself. She considered herself “Plain Jane” and so did those around her.

Perry Brewer, drop dead gorgeous attorney, moves into the condo adjoining Jane’s. She immediately dislikes him because of his “extra-curricular activities” that she cannot help but overhear from his side of the wall. She also overhears him say something very hurtful about her.

When Jane wins the lottery, she decides that it is time to find her “inner wild child.” She decides that the best place to do that is Las Vegas. Inexplicably, Perry cannot stop thinking about Jane. When he hears of her rash decision to fly off to Las Vegas, he follows her, hoping to protect her from those who might take advantage of an innocent girl. Jane finds it hard to believe that someone like Perry is interested in her. She does not know if she can let go and have a good time without falling in love with him. Can she trust him without getting hurt?

Stephanie Bond’s newest novel is on fire! This story is great fun and sucked me in immediately and so far that I really had a hard time putting the book down. The character of Jane could be considered a modern day Cinderella. The sensuality between Jane and Perry is quite intense and their scenes together are so very sexy. She Did a Bad, Bad Thing is a tantalizing romp. In this case, it is so very, very good to be bad.
