Hannah Campbell was an emergency room nurse having one of the worst days of her life. She’d been attending a funeral of a colleague; while scattering his ashes the wind blew them back into her face. After inhaling some she gets hit by lighting. When she regains consciousness she starts seeing the ghost of Thomas Mecurio, the dead man the funeral was for.

Takeshi Shimodo is a neural researcher whose best friend, Thomas Mecurio, has just died. When Hannah is electrocuted by the lighting, Takeshi feels it is his duty to stay with her until she was out of danger. Once she is doing fine he returns to Thomas’s house to deal with his estate. With no family, Takeshi is left to deal with Thomas’s house and belongings.

Hannah finds the dead Thomas bothering her since she is the only person who can see and hear him. She goes to Thomas’s home to convince Takeshi to help her figure out why Thomas cannot move on. Hannah and Takeshi find they have a budding passion growing between them while in the middle of a mixed up crazy plot that involves terrorists, the FBI and Spanish authorities. But can this new found attraction survive the mystery surrounding them about the death of their friend?

This was such an amazing tale of love, mystery, murder and suspense. The author blended this story together so completely that as a reader you were drawn right in. It was funny, sad, exciting and romantic all at the same time. I fell in love with the hero in this story wishing he was mine. The characters were written so believably that you had no trouble thinking they could actually exist. This book is one you will read again and again.
