Tessa Hart left Florida when her long time romance broke up. Now she is in New York, working at Prime and studying to be an accountant. She has goals and nothing will get in her way.

Gabe O'Sullivan has goals of his own. He is determined to make the bar that has been in the family since Prohibition bigger and better than before. He has no time for relationships but Tessa is very tempting.

Tessa Hart needs a place to stay and her boss Gabe offers her his spare room. All of the regulars and employees of Prime know what is inevitable no matter how much the two of them fight it.

This is a fun and fast moving romance. Gabe and Tessa have a lot of chemistry and their love scenes are pretty scorching. I found Tessa’s single mindedness admirable at first, but she seemed to forget that Gabe is a lot more sensitive than his horndog brother Sean. The two of them do a great job of sabotaging their relationship even though they admittedly love each other, but things work out in the end. The author takes a really good setting, a popular New York bar, and really makes the most of it. Her characters are well written and very appealing and the story builds and develops in a way that held my attention until the last page. The other characters like the old timers and bar employees become so vivid you will feel like you know them and you will want to get to know the O'Sullivan brothers much better.
