SEDUCING THE DARKNESS: BOOK ONE OF THE DARKNESS SERIES
Rating: 4 Cups
Trinity Ford is a full-blooded vampire who decided against following in her race’s footsteps. She senses bad news brewing, but does not know when it will happen.
Basil Hawthorn is now reigning prince of vampires after exiling his father to the Realm of Dark Mystics. He watches Trinity from a distance, making sure she is safe.
Trinity is aware the blood that ran through her lifeline is no longer available. Basil had once been her lover, her true blood source, before he cheated on her. His betrayal only made her stronger. She tries to help the city with the on-going evil. Basil has never forgotten his love for Trinity. He recalls how she felt in his arms. As long as he is alive, no harm will befall her. No matter what difficulties he and Trinity face, Chaos is their nemesis. He has other intentions for the two, and does not like to be double crossed. Basil must convince Trinity to work with him to stop Chaos from taking out the human race. Can she trust Basil to give her heart once more, or will Chaos be the ultimate winner?
Seducing the Darkness has interesting characters that put a spin on this engaging read. Trinity and Basil take the reader on an exhilarating ride while playing their emotions against each other. I thought the story sketched great description of the vampires, along with the surroundings. The intense scenes with Chaos are nail-biting and on-the-edge. I love how Trinity is feisty and spunky. Ms. Stewart delivers a story that allows the reader to share in their emotions. The rage, fear, and even misery, shine through with the characters. Her style of writing is so electric it just leaps from the pages. I am looking forward to the second book in the series.
