Anna Marcus has come home to the only place that ever really felt like home to her. She has returned because she has to bury her mother. Anna is so in shock that her mother is really gone. As she is trying to cope with the loss of her mother she rediscovers her old flame Reynaldo. However, all he seems to want from her is the land she inherited when her mother died.

Reynaldo De Leon owns the land that Anna’s mother’s cottage rests on. Reynaldo can not believe how different Anna is now that she has grown up. However, he cannot let himself get distracted by Anna. He has a duty to the family to reclaim the land that his dead father willed to Anna’s mom any way he can. Nevertheless, the attraction he feels for Anna cannot to be denied.

Reynaldo keeps upping his offers to buy the cottage and land from Anna. She keeps refusing him though Anna is unsure why she keeps telling him no. As the sparks flair over the fight about the land so does their passion for each other. It becomes an all out battle of wills to see who will win. It is not until they both almost loose everything, that the two discover the only thing they both really needed was each other.

It was an interesting story. The book in general is an amusing tale of two stubborn people’s battle of wills. The storyline flows well, and the characters are charming. This story has some great passion between the characters too.
