Ms. Ward has written a chilling story of greed. You will get caught up in this tale of rags to riches and the results of greed and its downside. I felt for the characters and could understand the siren's call of an excessive amount of money. It shocked me when the punishment was meted out by Peter, but then again, would I have reacted any different if I suffered the same as he? There is a cautionary tale here amongst the gore. Be a wise custodian of what is freely given to you. I adored this thriller.
