Sarah Maxwell believes Rafe married her because of her family’s connections. The night of the wedding, after learning the truth, she quickly leaves -- turning her back on her new husband.
Rafe Halliday can only hope things will get better with the ranch. For the past few months he has run into some rotten luck. When Sarah suddenly leaves on their wedding night, he is shocked.
Thanks to a discovery on her honeymoon night, Sarah was certain Rafe married her because of her family ties. Finding the blueprints was enough for her to quickly leave the marriage. Now three weeks later, Sarah wants to save Rafe’s reputation. She will work for him for two weeks while the housekeeper is away. He wants her to stay for three months until the rumors die down about how she treated him by running out on him. It will give her time to finish her project on the Endangered Species Shoot. Rafe sets out to do anything to keep her there forever. Can they meet on common ground and get past their differences to become a happy couple, or will the truth send her packing again?
I like the way this romance had just the right blend of ingredients to make it a page-turner. To be honest, I was hooked from the first page. The dialogue grabbed me immediately and kept me going until the end of the story. I absolutely fell in love with the refreshing characters of Sarah and Rafe. The chemistry between this pair is breathtaking. Honey Jans has generated a great plot, vibrant characters and an engaging read that kept this reader entertained, page after page. Imaginative, invigorating, and delightful, I fell in love with Roping a Runaway Bride and look forward to more of Ms. Jans’ works.
