| RIDE A COWBOY DELILAH DEVLIN ISBN # 1-4199-0512-0 February 2006 Ellora's cave http://www.ellorascave.com E-Book $4.45 76 Pages Western/Contemporary Rating: Katelyn is a 41-year-old woman still recovering from her marriage to a selfish and controlling man. It is time for a change: a new town, a new job, and a new, if ramshackle, house. But Katelyn is not really sure that her heart is ready for a new man, no matter what other parts of her may think. Daniel is a rugged guy, closing in on thirty and ready to settle down. The trouble is that none of the single filly's in his neck of the woods seem to be the right kind of girl for him. So when he comes across sexy Katelyn he is not going to let a few extra years put him off. He also is not going to leap into having a sexual fling when there is a chance for so much more. The sweet and sexy plotline revolves around Katelyn’s courtship as both characters suffer the trial of extreme lust while having reasons not to leap without having a good long look first. Finally the doubts and misunderstandings are swept aside as two people find their perfect match. I could quibble that Daniel may look the cowboy but technically that is not his job, but if Katelyn does not mind then who am I to argue? Delilah Devlin really ratchets up the unrequited lust and despite some very saucy experimenting our couple do not have what ex-president Clinton would call sex until the last quarter of the book. Boy was I ready for it by then! Ride a Cowboy is a great story of a developing relationship with only just enough plot to provide the inner obstacles both characters have to overcome to finally find their happily-ever-after.
