Anael Kerub is an angel who has lost his faith in the divine system. Because of this, he has been relegated to the lower regions of heaven where he acts as a prosecutor for those who have committed some of the most heinous crimes imaginable.
Zach Tzivot still has that zest for life and faith in the divine system. Certain that the man he is defending is redeemable, Zach gives it all he has to help the man get a better sentence.
When Anael gets his first look at the defense counsel, he knows he is in trouble, because Zach is everything he loves to look at when it comes to men. However, while Zach may be young and idealistic, he is not above using Anael’s sexual attraction towards him to distract Anael from the case, and in fact does so quite successfully. But when the outcome is not quite what was hoped for, can these two find common ground?
Redemption is a fantastic gay romance! The author sets the scene in the most delightful way. He keeps the reader guessing as to what is really going on, and where the two main characters really are; until nearly the end of the book. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of heaven and the lower levels as they were very thorough and easy to picture in my mind. The sexual tension kept me reading until the very end just so I could find out what the result of all those fireworks was going to be. Both characters were easy to relate to and their frailties, in spite of being angels, were endearing. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys gay romance with a touch of the supernatural!
