PROMISE ME FOREVER
Rating: 3 Cups
Heather Spencer is brought up to be a respectable young lady as expected by London society. However, her father’s untimely death and his exorbitant debts drastically turn her life upside down.
When wealthy young bachelor Drew Kennedy travels to London on business, he does not expect to fall in love. He especially does not anticipate finding the woman of his dreams in the most unlikely and scandalous place imaginable.
When Heather realizes she has no reason to remain in London, she accepts Drew’s invitation to accompany him back to America. After a dangerous journey across the ocean, Heather must adjust to living in America, as well as dealing with Drew’s beautiful ex-fiancé. In turn, Drew must make some important decisions in case the community and his family learn of Heather’s past.
Ms. Nee’s writing flows smoothly. The characters are fantastic and very realistic. Drew is the quintessential romance hero; loyal, brave, and devastatingly handsome. This story does have some predictable romance novel themes, which does not detract, but adds to the fun of the story. Promise Me Forever is a classy and beautifully written novel.
